The European Geothermal workshop aims at discussing new approaches, methods, or data in the fields of deep geothermal reservoirs for energy exploitation as well high temperature energy storage. It proposes a platform of scientific exchange, especially between PhD students and scientists,  and to present latest findings and results achieved in national and international , in particular EU-funded, research and demonstration projects.

The European Geothermal Workshop (EGW) is organized bi-yearly in different countries by members of the EERA Joint Programme Geothermal.

 Workshop format:

• Physical only : anticipated attendance of 200 persions
• 2 full day plenary and parallel sessions with oral and poster presentations
• Dedicated sessions to EU-funded research and demonstration projects

• A side event to a Geothermal Operation and/or major Research Facility is planned for 10 november
